STATEMENT

A photographer cannot see the own body through a viewfinder; therefor the body becomes the sole other when the photographer is shooting. With such idea, photographed my body; then added another layer of image by scratching the print surface with pins.
The act helped me to escape from the idea of subjectivity and led me to submerge myself in the domain of unconscious. Led by the memories, I found primitive human urge, which exceeded the idea of distinction between the good and the bad.

作品について

私の作品は主にセルフポートレイトの作品です。
写真家にとって自分自身の身体とはファインダー越しに見つめることの不可能性において唯一の他者であると考えています。
写真を暗室で現像し、その印画紙の表面を小さな安全ピンで点を打つように引っ掻いて描画しています。
それらの行為は主観からの逸脱、無意識への降下へと私を導き、固有の記憶を経て善悪を超えた原初の人間の思考を見出させます。
